Toasty Brie & Prosciutto Crostini with Pepper Jelly and Hot Honey

Ingredients

  • 1 French loaf, sliced thin

  • 2 tablespoons melted butter

  • 4–6 slices prosciutto

  • Brie cheese (about 4 oz), sliced

  • 2–3 tablespoons pepper jelly

  • Drizzle of hot honey (or regular honey)

  • Fresh thyme, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prep the bread: Slice the French loaf into thin slices and place them on a baking sheet. Brush the tops with about 2 tablespoons of melted butter.

  2. Toast: Bake at 400°F for about 5 minutes, until lightly golden and crisp around the edges.

  3. Crisp the prosciutto: In a small pan, fry the prosciutto until crispy. Set aside.

  4. Assemble: Top each toasted bread slice with crispy prosciutto and a piece of brie.

  5. Melt the brie: Return the crostini to the oven at 400°F for another 5 minutes, until the brie is soft and melty.

  6. Finish: Top each piece with a small spoonful of pepper jelly and drizzle with hot honey (regular honey works too).

  7. Garnish: Add fresh thyme leaves over the top and serve warm.
